From Philadelphia's jazz scene to Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Broadway, and more, Joe Block's musical journey has already taken him to some of the world's most celebrated stages. Now, the New York City–based pianist, composer, and 2027 American Piano Awards finalist brings his distinctive voice to The Jazz Kitchen for his Premiere Series performance.
Joe has performed alongside Wynton Marsalis, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Leslie Odom Jr. and many other acclaimed artists. A graduate of the Columbia-Juilliard dual-degree program and finalist in the 2023 Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition, Joe draws on deep roots in both classical and jazz traditions.
