Experience an afternoon of exceptional artistry as Peter Hansen and Gary Walters present a showcase of premier performances and refined arrangements. The program features The Jazz Kitchen premiere of Hansen’s String Quartet No. 1 in E and Walters’ world premiere of Bluesberry Jam for String Quartet in 3 movements.
In addition to these new works, Gary and Peter will perform unique arrangements of pieces by legendary composers including Satie, Dvorak, Debussy, Evans, and Peterson. Bringing these compositions to life is an elite string quartet comprised of distinguished members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra: Jennifer Farquhar, Sophia Cho, Zhanbo Zheng, and Stephen Hawkey.
